London Fashion Week is renowned for having some of the world’s best designers, the hottest models, the best celeb spots at its FROW (plus some pretty good after parties to boot!). From McQueen to McCartney, as this bi-annual celebration of fashion hits the capital, masses of fashionistas descend from all over the world to see the latest trends.
However, not being in London certainly doesn’t mean you have to miss out on all the sartorial fun. The rest of the UK is catching up – and fast – to the nation’s hunger for all things fashion. Over the last ten years, all around the country Fashion weeks have been popping up and you can now experience the thrill of hunting out new designers, getting dressed up in your very best threads, whilst sitting amongst other fashion lovers at a catwalk. Why not visit a new city and fit in some shopping whilst you’re at it?

A Fashion Week for: Those wanting a moral fix with their fashion.
Known as ‘London-by-sea’, Brighton is a fashion haven with a bohemian vibe thrown into the mix. This coastal city’s Fashion Week showcases innovative designers and is the biggest platform for the latest design talent outside of the capital.
Brighton, known for its green thinking, aims to promote sustainability through fashion whilst showcasing designers who offer the very best in the way of sustainable fashion. BFW works with new designers to help them adopt ethical practices in their work as well as educating attendees of the shows on the impact of fast fashion.
Fashion Tip for Brighton: Make sure to check out the famous ‘lanes’ where you can pick up some brilliant finds and also showcase your ethical fashion get-up in some of the many great bars and restaurants.

A Fashion Week for: Cultured fashionistas
This World Heritage City attracts big names from the fashion world. From global fashion experts to the biggest designers, Bath in Fashion offers a selection of brilliant talks, local in-store events and also catwalks over the course of the week.
Talks and events are varied. Over the past few years, BIF has seen a workshop on t-shirt embellishment from Seasalt, Craft Beer Tasting at local brewhouse Hunter & Sons and a masterclass in wearable technology. One thing’s for certain – you won’t be bored!
Fashion Tip for Bath: If you have time, make sure to drop by the Bath Fashion Museum – Conde Naste Traveller have given it the accolade of being one of the world’s best fashion museums. Plus, you can see some great pieces of fashion history from designer greats such as Mary Quant and Alexander Mcqueen.

A Fashion Week for: Wanting to see fashion in great surroundings.
If you haven’t been to Edinburgh before, this is your chance to experience this beautiful city as well as discover new Scottish and International fashion talent. Experience talks from industry figures plus sit FROW at a fast-paced catwalk show, some of which are held in some of the most beautiful venues that Edinburgh has to offer.
Edinburgh Fashion Week includes fantastic art exhibitions, interesting panel discussions, and hands-on workshops; showcasing the fashion world for all to enjoy.
Fashion Tip for Edinburgh: Take a trip up the Royal Mile where you can pick up a lovely tartan scarf and enjoy the cute cobbled streets.

A Fashion Week for: Those who love to shop high street.
For those of you out there that can’t get enough high street fashion, Bristol Fashion Week at The Mall in Cribbs Causeway is a must. Mark Hayes – of ITV’s ‘This Morning’ fame – walks you through the upcoming looks of the season alongside designer co-host Henry Holland.
Multiple shows run each day and you can choose to stand, sit second row or get right into the action in the front row. Check out the current season’s trends and be inspired by some of the wonderful looks that are put together. The best thing about this kind of catwalk – you can pick up the pieces straight away!
Fashion Tip for Bristol: If you have time make sure to head into central Bristol – where you can discover even more of your high street favourites – as well as larger designer stores such as Harvey Nichols!
