Do I have to buy my GWR ticket before I travel?

Yes, you must have a valid ticket before you board a GWR train or you could face a fine. If you board at a station where there is no means of purchasing a ticket, look for a machine which dispenses a Permit to Travel or buy your ticket from the conductor on the train.

If you were delayed on your journey for more than 15 minutes, you may be entitled to GWR delay repay.
