Fashion Week is perhaps the most important date on the calendar for style enthusiasts all over the world. With a resounding impact on the high street fashion worn by regular folk, these fashion events are huge both in terms of the money that changes hands and the impact on our own sense of style.

We thought we would take a look at the numbers behind the fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris, to see how they stack up against each other in terms of things like the average amount of pictures taken by photographers, the amount of makeup artists used and the number of bobby pins utilised. We also delve into the people that make these enormous shows happen and the history behind these global events.
