FAQs from Historic Newspapers
What is the best multi-buy deal at Historic Newspapers right now?
The BOGO50 offer gives you 50% off the cheaper of two eligible books when you buy them together. It's available to UK customers and is one of the most straightforward ways to save, particularly useful if you're buying two gifts or pairing a personal pick with a present for someone else.
Can I use a Historic Newspapers promo code on any product in the range?
Not always — it depends on the code. Some offers are restricted to specific product types; for example, one active code applies to newspapers only and cannot be used on books or other products. Always check the terms of each code before applying it, as restrictions vary.
How much can I save on Telegraph Edition books in the current sale?
Selected Telegraph Edition titles are currently £10 off, reduced from £69.99 to £59.99 each. Football History books for clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal are also on sale from £49.99. These are made-to-order titles, so check the website for the full list of what's currently reduced.
Does Historic Newspapers offer free delivery?
Yes — there's a free shipping code available, though it excludes Original Newspapers. Standard Tracked Delivery otherwise costs £6.99, so the code is worth applying if your order consists of books rather than archive originals. Express Tracked and Priority Tracked options are available at an additional charge.
Are personalised Newspaper Books eligible for returns?
No. Newspaper Books are custom-made to order, so they cannot be returned or cancelled once placed. The exception is if the item arrives defective — in that case, report it within 30 days and Historic Newspapers will arrange a replacement or refund, processed within 14 working days of receiving the item.
Does Historic Newspapers offer student, NHS, or senior discounts?
There are no dedicated student, NHS, or senior discount programmes at Historic Newspapers. The best available savings come from the current multi-buy book offer and the sale prices on Telegraph Edition titles, both of which are open to all UK customers without eligibility requirements.
How often do new Historic Newspapers deals appear on vouchercloud?
New Historic Newspapers offers are added to vouchercloud as they become available. It's worth checking back regularly, particularly around key gifting periods, as new codes and sale prices can appear at any time. Bookmarking the page means you won't miss anything.
What payment methods does Historic Newspapers accept?
Historic Newspapers accepts a wide range of credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal. There's no mention of buy-now-pay-later options, so if budget flexibility matters, the BOGO50 multi-buy offer is the most practical way to get more for your money in a single transaction.
Can I get help finding a specific newspaper or headline?
Yes — Historic Newspapers offers a basic research service through their dedicated Research Team. They can search for specific articles or headlines for a non-refundable fee of £25. Contact them directly at [email protected]. Bear in mind the team operates Monday to Friday only.
Is there a discount for signing up to the Historic Newspapers newsletter?
A specific newsletter sign-up discount isn't confirmed in the current offer details. For the most reliable savings, the active codes and sale prices listed on vouchercloud, including the BOGO50 book deal and Telegraph Edition reductions, are your best starting point right now.

How to Apply a Historic Newspapers Discount Code at Checkout
Applying a Historic Newspapers voucher code takes less than a minute. Here's exactly what to do:
-
Add your chosen items to the basket on the Historic Newspapers website.
-
Proceed to checkout and look for the field labelled 'voucher code' or 'promo code', which is usually displayed on the order summary page.
-
Type or paste your code into the field and confirm it. The discount should appear in your order total before you pay.
-
If the code isn't accepted, check that your basket meets any minimum spend requirement, that the code applies to the products you've chosen (some codes are valid on newspapers only, not books), and that you haven't already applied another offer. Only one code can be used per order.
Save 50% on Your Second Book — the BOGO50 Multi-Buy Offer
This is the standout saving at Historic Newspapers right now. Buy any two eligible books and you'll receive 50% off the cheaper of the two, automatically applied when you use the BOGO50 code at checkout. It's a particularly good deal if you're buying a gift for someone and want to pick up a second title for yourself, or if you're treating two people at once.
The offer applies to UK customers and covers eligible book titles across the range. It's worth checking which titles qualify before you add to basket, as the discount applies to the cheaper item rather than the more expensive one. Pairing two similarly priced books gets you the most back.
Head to the Historic Newspapers website, add two eligible books to your basket, and apply the BOGO50 code at checkout to see the saving reflected in your total.

Free Shipping with a Delivery Code (Excludes Original Newspapers)
Historic Newspapers offers a free shipping code that removes the standard delivery charge from your order. Standard Tracked Delivery normally costs £6.99, so this is a useful saving if you're ordering books rather than original archive items.
It's worth noting that the free shipping offer excludes Original Newspapers — the authentic archive pieces from the collection. If your order contains only personalised or made-to-order Newspaper Books, you're more likely to be eligible. Express Tracked (£7.99) and Priority Tracked (£8.99) options are also available if you need your order sooner, though these are charged separately regardless.
Check the current codes listed on vouchercloud and apply the delivery code at checkout to see whether it applies to your specific order.
Returns, Exchanges, and What to Expect
It's worth understanding the returns policy before you order, particularly because Historic Newspapers sells two quite different types of product.
Returns on Original Newspapers
Original Newspapers (non-personalised archive items) can be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they're in perfect re-saleable condition and the return has been pre-authorised. Each original newspaper comes with a certificate of authenticity, so make sure that's kept safe if you think you might need to return.
Returns on Personalised Newspaper Books
Newspaper Books are custom-made and personalised to order, which means they're not eligible for returns or cancellations once placed, unless the item arrives defective. If something is wrong with your order, report it within 30 days and Historic Newspapers will arrange a replacement or refund, processed within 14 working days of receiving the item back.
Store credit, where issued, is in GBP and cannot be used against delivery charges.
If you're unsure whether a title is personalised or a standard stock item, check the product page before you buy. It'll save any uncertainty later.
Historic Newspapers Customer Support
The Historic Newspapers support team is available Monday to Friday, with a typical response time of 12 to 24 hours. They're closed at weekends and on bank holidays, so it's worth getting in touch early in the week if your query is time-sensitive. A specialist Research Team is also available for queries about specific articles or archive items.
