Trespass started out trading under the name of Jacobs & Turner Ltd.in 1938 in Glasgow. At the time, the company had just 12 machinists, working in a 1200 sqft warehouse - supplying uniforms and other items of clothing to large organisations, including the local police. Soon after, the company started making anoraks and waterproof jackets in a larger warehouse. The Trespass brand evolved in 1984 - at first specialising in affordable skiwear as well as outdoor clothing and equipment. In the 1990s, Trespass began to open outlet stores, which more recently reached a tally of 150 stores around the UK. The company is now renowned for producing its own high-tech fabrics used in clothing and equipment for endurance and extreme outdoor pursuits. Trespass keeps its foot in the professional skiing scene, by sponsoring the BRITS Show Tour, helping to promote homegrown talent while making sure the brand is seen in all the right places.
