Weird Fish started life in Cornwall in 1993, when a group of people discovered an airbrushing technique that allowed them to print their own alternative t-shirt designs. The following year they began producing unique Macaroni fabric using a neglected collection of knitting machines found in a Turkish factory: now trademarked, this has become a huge part of the Weird Fish brand. It launched its website in 2005 before opening its first shop in Bath the following year. Other highlights include partnering with the RSPB to create a range of bird inspired t-shirts, the profits of which go straight to this important organisation.
Weird Fish is constantly on the lookout for the most ethical ways to manufacture its products and has recently worked with its first carbon neutral factory.
