It all started in 1905 when 4 motoring enthusiasts got together to form the AA, to protect themselves and their fellow drivers. With 15 million members, the AA is now the UK’s largest motoring organisation, and with a driver assisted every 9 seconds, they are kept busy making sure their customers get back on the road. With the largest fleet of roadside patrol vans in the country, help is never far away with the AA.

Can AA get me car insurance that starts right now?
Yes. When you buy online or over the phone your insurance can start immediately.
Can I drive abroad with AA Car Insurance?
AA Car Insurance provides the same cover you get in the UK in any EU country for up to 90 days annually. Depending on your circumstances, you may be able to extend the 90-day period and include countries outside the EU.
Can I protect my no-claims discount with AA Car Insurance?
You can pay an additional premium to protect your no-claims discount. Depending on your circumstances, you can usually make two ‘fault’ claims in a 3 or 5 year period without affecting your no-claims discount.

You can cancel your policy from 14 days of receipt of documentation and receive a refund, assuming no claim has been made. The insurer will refund a percentage of the premium calculated on a daily pro-rata basis equivalent to the cover left unused. The charge for this period of cover will be a minimum of £15, and AA will retain its arrangement fee of £28.
If cover has not commenced prior to the end of this 14-day period you will be entitled to a full refund of premium and arrangement fee.
If you cancel after the 14 day period, a cancellation fee of up to 50 (including the arrangement fee) may apply.
No claims must have been made in order for refunds to be processed.
