We weren’t expecting such a big margin - Tesco has the highest number of products on our “best value bottles” lists. A reliable fixture when it comes to respected brands at excellent prices, it’s clearly the place to hit up before your next summer barbecue, festival run or general beer fridge restock.

Morrisons is well known as a great value retailer of everyday essentials, but we were a little surprised to see it come 2nd in the prestigious craft beer stakes. Turns out if you’re looking for a Thornbridge Jaipur or Camden Hells for less, Morrisons is a good place to be.

Not far behind is good old ASDA in 3rd, with loads of big name craft brands at their best prices - including Bad Co, Blue Moon and Purity. Also a big hitter in our round up of the best value rum, whiskey, vodka and gin, you can’t fault ASDA for pricing it right.

Data and methodology

Data gathered from supermarket websites, correct as of June 10th.

15 Brands selected on the basis of being the most frequently occurring across all supermarkets (over 10 products or more).

Value measured in £ / print.

Offer prices taken into account - RRP used if offer prices are tied. If one supermarket has multiple products of the same volume of the same brand in a multi-offer, this is counted as one product.
