How to find the cheapest Samsung phone deals

Buy refurbished. Opt for a refurbished phone to knock a few hundred quid off your subtotal. Even the most recently released Samsung models are available to buy refurbished from the likes of Giffgaff and O2—these models have been returned and restored to as-new condition with a one-year warranty, so you can buy with peace of mind.

Trade in your old phone. Looking to upgrade? You can trade in your old phone for a discount on a newer model. If you do this on the Samsung website, you’ll get a quote for the eligible trade-in device and receive instant credit towards a new qualifying Galaxy device.

Shop around for the best deal. You already know this—that’s why you’re here, right? We’re updating these prices every week, but you can also use our handy vouchercloud compare tool to compare the price of mobile phones and contracts.

Student discount. Argos, Currys, AO.com and Carphone Warehouse all offer a handy student discount of at least 10% off. Sign up for a unique student discount code with Student Beans to make sure you don’t miss out on a student-only offer.

NHS discount. Key workers can save on new phones and pay-monthly plans with a Blue Light Card—you can currently get up to £300 off phones at EE and a 25% discount on Airtime plans at O2. Register for your Blue Light Card online to unlock your discount.

Shop the Black Friday sales. Black Friday and Cyber Monday are still a few months off, but we can guarantee you’ll find major discounts on Samsung smartphones. Last year, we bagged 23% off the Galaxy S10 and 27% off the Galaxy S20 from the official Samsung store. We've tracked down the best offers in our Samsung sale guide.

Consider a SIM-free plan. It’s tempting to get the latest model on a contract, but when you add up the monthly cost, it’s usually significantly cheaper to buy your phone outright. Choose an unlocked phone and add a pay-as-you-go data plan—Three and Giffgaff both have data bundles with at least 50GB for £20 per month.

Time your purchase. The best time to buy a new phone’s predecessor is around a month before the latest model is released, when retailers start offering discounts to move old stock. Keep an eye on price drops using a tool like Pricerunner.

Check for bundle deals and freebies. If you’re buying a pay-monthly phone, check out the different bundles available to find the most cost-effective option. An unlimited data plan might be slightly more expensive per month, but if it comes with free Apple Disney Plus or two years of Spotify, you’ll be saving money in the long run.

Cashback offers. Like bundle deals, cashback offers can make a pay-monthly option more affordable. Mobile Phones Direct regularly offer up to £50 cashback deals on Samsung plans—check out the cashback claims page for more details.
