More about Thorpe Park
An Island of Thrills
Thorpe Park delivers thrills to thousands of excited visitors each year. Since opening in 1979, the resort has become an icon of the south of the UK, with a range of attractions, rides and slides to delight the young and the old. A visit to Thorpe Park is a day of unrivalled adventure, from the highest peaks of the tallest rollercoaster down to the tidal waves at the end of each log flume. There’s always the opportunity to take it slow, too, as the family friendly theme park still welcomes smaller thrill seekers through the gates. While adults and bigger kids enjoy the screams of Stealth and Inferno, young children can play in the park’s beach area, explore fairground rides and make a splash in the water park.
Visit Thorpe Park and you’ll discover opportunities for entertainment and excitement at every turn. Do you think you can handle it?
Getting to Thorpe Park
Where is Thorpe Park?
Thorpe Park is located in Surrey, to the south west of London, close to Staines and Chertsey. The theme park was built on a gravel pit that was flooded in the 1900s, so is surrounded by lakes and is almost an island- but is connected by a road from Thorpe village.
