Frugi is the brainchild of Kurt and Lucy, a couple who decided to start making and selling clothing to fit over bulky nappies when they realised there wasn’t anything suitable on the market when they had their first child in 2004. The business quickly grew as demand for their products went off the scale. In 2008, Cut4Cloth went through a rebrand, and the new name Frugi (meaning fruits of the earth in Latin) reflected the brand’s organic, ethical stance. At this time, the company moved to an organic farm, and expanded the work force too. The clothing made and sold by Frugi is durable, fun, super soft and ethical - ideal for playful babies and tots, as well as expectant mothers. All garments are made from 100% organic cotton, which is chemical-free and softer than regular cotton. If you want to give your bambinos the best start to life, going organic is a great alternative to the mass produced, dubius origin alternatives found on the high street.
