Eurotunnel is an astonishing feat of modern engineering, stretching out over 30 miles underneath the English Channel. Offering passengers the unique opportunity to drive onto the train in Britain and off again in France, Eurotunnel is a phenomenal, one-of-a-kind travel experience. Where also can you sit in the comfort of your car as a high-speed locomotive zooms you from one place to another, all whilst 50 miles underneath the surface of the ocean? Construction on the tunnel took over five years, with the French digging away from one side and the English from the other. When completed, an Englishman and a Frenchman shook hands through a small hole connecting the two tunnel ends, in a truly historic moment for mankind. Today, with millions of passengers using the tunnel to kick-start their holidays every year, it’s easy to forget quite how incredible an achievement the tunnel is! What’s more, when you book with Eurotunnel vouchers, you can save and be sure that your journey will be smooth, seamless and comfortable.
