The first Harry Ramsden’s restaurant was set up in 1928, and the high-quality standards set by Harry back then are still the lasting principles to this day in over 40 outlets across the UK. The Harry Ramsden’s team are extremely proud of their heritage and still guard the secret to Harry’s famous batter recipe, which is freshly made every day to guarantee the perfect consistency. It’s not just fish and chips that you’ll find at Harry Ramsden’s either, there’s an extensive breakfast menu to help you rise and shine and the main menu includes delicious salads, burgers and hot dogs as well as the chip shop classics.

A large number of the Harry Ramsden’s outlets are located in beautiful seaside locations such as Bournemouth, where you can tuck in to a delicious meal whilst enjoying the relaxing views of the beach. If you’re feeling competitive, or hungry for that matter, why not have some fun by taking on Harry’s Challenge. The challenge consists of a 350g giant fish, 200g of chips, two large sides and a slice of bread and butter. Polish this off (without any assistance) within 30 minutes and you’ll get a t-shirt, Harry’s Challenge certificate and the honour of appearing in the Hall of Fame.
